Three ways to put silicone on a closed scar. Your surgeon helps you choose.

What do gel and sheets have in common — and how do they differ?

Both are medical-grade silicone that cover and hydrate a closed scar. Gel dries to an invisible film and suits curves, faces and joints; sheets add light pressure and suit flatter areas. Silagen describes using one by day and the other at night — never both at once, and never gel under a sheet.
