Understanding Product Information

Find ingredients, serving information and directions on a label.

Getting started

Start with the full product name so it matches your instructions. Then find preparation or skin-care directions, allergens and storage information.

Look more closely

Ingredients & Details

Start with the full product name. Look for serving size or skin-care directions, ingredients, allergens and storage instructions.

For supplements, an ingredient’s total weight may differ from its elemental nutrient amount. For skin products, look for the full ingredient list, often called the INCI list. An overview does not give the full ingredient order or concentrations.

Check the serving size and preparation directions on your powder’s own label.

Labels may name an ingredient’s source or chemical form. Examples include milk-derived whey isolate, zinc bisglycinate and methylcobalamin. Keep those names when comparing ingredients.

Understanding product information
  1. Check the full product name. Phase 3 Capsules and Phase 3 Cream are separate products.
  2. Read the unit with the number. Four capsules describes a serving; grams describe a powder’s weight, not which scoop to use.
  3. A cream’s full ingredient list is often called the INCI list. A short ingredient overview does not show the full order or concentrations.
