YOUR SURGICAL PLANNING JOURNEY

Planning Your Recovery

Your Recovery Deserves the Same Attention as Your Procedure.

The changes you want to achieve matter beyond surgery day. Your TRC Care Planner brings recovery preparation, practical support, follow-up arrangements, and selected recovery services into your planning from the beginning.

You have a team that knows your priorities and coordinates the support you select, while your surgical team directs your medical care.

YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES

Recovery Planning Begins With Your Life.

Your procedure is one part of the picture. Your responsibilities, home environment, available assistance, and personal concerns also shape the arrangements you may need.

Your Care Planner takes the time to understand those circumstances. Together, we identify what is already in place, what needs attention, and which available services fit your plans.

You may be arranging support around work and family, recovering away from home, or preparing for several procedures. Your planning should reflect those differences.

Your recovery arrangements are personalized to you and your procedure or procedures. Your clinical team provides the instructions that guide them.

TRC SUPPORT

What TRC Brings to Your Recovery Planning.

Personalized Preparation

Bring practical responsibilities, available assistance, and questions into focus before surgery. Your Care Planner connects these details with the requirements communicated by your surgical team.

Follow-Up & Practical Coordination

Organize appointment arrangements, transportation, and selected support services. When practical needs change, your Care Planner coordinates the relevant next steps.

Recovery Education & Check-Ins

Review the educational resources and structured check-ins included in your arrangement. These provide opportunities to organize questions and identify practical matters that need attention.

Selected Recovery & Scar Care

Understand the available program components, supplies, and scar-care products that may be included or selected separately. Your clinical team determines whether a product is appropriate and when and how it should be used.

Your Care Planner explains the scope, contact arrangements, and costs of your selected services. Check-ins support coordination and education; they do not replace medical examinations or clinical monitoring.

PRACTICAL ARRANGEMENTS

Make Room for Recovery in Everyday Life.

Your Care Planner brings the practical side of recovery into the same conversation as your procedure.

Support Around You

Consider who can assist with transportation, meals, household tasks, children, dependents, or other responsibilities. Any support required by your surgical team belongs in these arrangements.

Work & Activities

Bring your work demands and everyday commitments into planning. Your clinician provides individualized guidance on restrictions and returning to activities; TRC coordinates the surrounding practical details.

Supplies & Services

Identify what your clinical team recommends, what is already included, and what needs to be arranged separately. This creates a clearer picture of both availability and cost.

Travel & Follow-Up

Connect accommodation, return travel, and transportation with the follow-up arrangements provided by your practice. Medical decisions about travel remain with your clinical team.

If professional home care is required, it must be arranged with an appropriate clinical provider.

SCOPE & COST CLARITY

Understand Your Support Before You Select It.

Your recovery arrangement should make clear what you are receiving and who is responsible for each service.

Your Care Planner reviews:

  • Included services: The education, coordination, check-ins, and program components in your proposal.
  • Optional selections: Additional services or products you may choose.
  • Communication: How to contact TRC and what response arrangements apply.
  • Separate clinical care: Follow-up or treatment provided by independent professionals.
  • Costs and terms: Applicable charges, payment arrangements, and changes to selected services.

Independent clinical providers establish their own fees and policies. TRC’s services and charges remain separately identified.

You can understand the available support before deciding what belongs in your plan.

FOLLOW-UP CONTINUITY

Keep Follow-Up Connected.

Your surgical team provides the follow-up schedule and instructions relevant to your care. Understanding those instructions and arrangements is an important part of preparing for recovery.

TRC coordinates the administrative details within your selected services, including appointment arrangements, related transportation, and outstanding questions for the practice.

If your practical circumstances change, tell your Care Planner. We can revisit the selected arrangements with the relevant providers.

Questions about symptoms, healing, medicines, or changes to clinical instructions go directly to your surgical team.

WHO TO CONTACT

Know Who to Contact.

Your Surgical Team

For symptoms, healing concerns, medicines, wound care, restrictions, and medical instructions. Follow the practice’s contact guidance, including its after-hours arrangements.

Your TRC Care Planner

For selected recovery services, supplies, scheduling, transportation, and other practical coordination.

Emergency Assistance

For an emergency, call 911 or seek emergency medical care.

TRC is not an emergency service and does not provide continuous clinical monitoring. Do not wait for a TRC reply when you need medical assistance.

MY PRIORITIES

Save What Matters to Your Recovery.

Keep the topics you want to discuss in My TRC. These tools are optional; you do not need to complete a recovery worksheet before speaking with your Care Planner.

Add a Note — Optional

Couldn’t save —

Saving keeps information in your plan. It does not send a message, request a service, or alert anyone to a medical concern.

COMMON QUESTIONS

A Few Questions About Recovery Planning

When should I discuss recovery with TRC?

Bring it into your planning before surgery, even if your procedure or arrangements are still being considered. Your Care Planner can identify practical priorities and explain available services.

Is recovery support the same for every patient?

No. Your planning reflects your procedure or procedures, circumstances, and selected services. Your clinical team determines your medical care and instructions.

Can I discuss additional recovery support?

Yes. Your Care Planner can explain available options, inclusions, and costs so you can decide what fits your plans.

Do TRC check-ins replace follow-up with my surgeon?

No. Clinical appointments and medical concerns remain with your surgical team. TRC check-ins provide the education and coordination described in your selected arrangement.
