About this notice. Understand the sources, meaning, and limits of physician credentials and provider information presented through TRC.

Understanding the information behind your surgeon review.

TRC organizes available physician credentials, professional background, and practice information to support informed comparisons. Your Care Planner brings relevant information and outstanding questions into your planning within your selected services.

This notice explains the sources, meaning, and limits of provider information presented through TRC.

Purpose and sources

Tissue Restoration Center (“TRC,” “we,” or “us”) provides nonclinical patient information, planning, and coordination services.

Provider profiles, search tools, and comparisons bring available information into a format patients can use when considering physicians. Sources may include information supplied by providers, state licensing authorities, certification organizations, professional registries, practice websites, public records, and other identified sources.

Information obtained from a provider or another publication is not necessarily independently verified by TRC. Its source and the scope of any review matter when interpreting it.

A profile’s inclusion does not, by itself, establish that a physician is clinically appropriate for your circumstances or that TRC guarantees the physician’s performance.

Independent Surgeon and Registered Surgeon

“Independent Surgeon” and “Registered Surgeon” describe informational or administrative status.

An Independent Surgeon may appear in TRC’s informational resources without participating in TRC’s administrative registration process.

A Registered Surgeon has completed TRC’s administrative registration process for coordination purposes.

Registration is not a medical quality ranking, specialty certification, or guarantee of clinical performance. Neither designation, by itself, establishes employment, ownership, agency, partnership, or medical supervision by TRC.

You are not required to choose a TRC-registered surgeon merely because you use TRC’s generally available nonclinical patient services. Particular coordination arrangements may depend on the selected practice’s participation and availability.

Scope of review and verification

TRC’s review may involve organizing information, comparing sources, identifying discrepancies, and coordinating requests for clarification. The scope depends on the service provided and the information available.

Where TRC describes information as verified, that description applies to the specific item checked, the source used, and the date of review. Verification of one item does not establish that every statement in a profile has been independently confirmed.

Compilation, formatting, or automated organization of information does not, by itself, constitute independent verification.

A limited review must not be presented as a comprehensive investigation of a physician’s qualifications, practice, or history.

Understanding credentials and professional background

Different types of information address different aspects of a physician’s background. They should not be treated as interchangeable.

Licensure concerns authorization to practice within the relevant jurisdiction and any applicable status or restrictions.

Board certification concerns certification by a particular organization in a stated specialty or subspecialty. Certification information should identify the certifying organization and field; a general reference to “board certified” does not establish certification in every procedure or area of practice.

Training and experience describe professional preparation and practice background. Years in practice, a procedure listing, or a stated area of interest does not independently establish a particular level of proficiency or a likely outcome.

Hospital affiliations and clinical privileges describe different relationships or permissions. An affiliation does not, by itself, establish privileges to perform a particular procedure at a particular facility.

Patient feedback and reputation information, where included, reflect the sources and experiences reported. They do not independently establish clinical quality or predict another patient’s experience.

These details are considered alongside your consultation, the proposed clinical approach, and the information relevant to your goals.

Information can change or be incomplete

Licensure, certification, privileges, practice locations, availability, insurance participation, professional liability coverage, and disciplinary status can change.

A review reflects the information available from the sources consulted at the time. It does not constitute ongoing monitoring unless an ongoing service is expressly identified and its scope explained.

Public records and other sources may have reporting delays, incomplete coverage, or differences in how information is described. The absence of a disclosed complaint, restriction, claim, or disciplinary action does not establish that none exists.

A complaint or allegation is also different from a finding or disciplinary decision. Information should be understood in its proper context and with attention to its source and current status.

Using information in your decision

Your Care Planner organizes available information and coordinates outstanding questions within your selected services. You may also consult official licensing authorities, certifying organizations, and other relevant sources directly.

Your clinical consultation is the place to discuss the surgeon’s recommendations, relevant procedural experience, proposed approach, alternatives, risks, and expected limitations.

A profile, registration status, search position, or comparison does not, by itself, constitute an individualized clinical recommendation, safety rating, or prediction of results. Clinical suitability is determined by the appropriately licensed treating professional.

You retain the decision about which surgeon to consult or select. TRC’s information services support that decision without replacing it.
