Understand moisture-binding ingredients in skin products.
Glycerin, hyaluronic acid and sodium hyaluronate are humectants: ingredients that attract moisture. They appear in different creams, gels and serums.
Facial Gel combines glycerin and sodium hyaluronate with silicone and squalane. Dermal Serum combines sodium hyaluronate with niacinamide, peptides and panthenol. HSL Topical Film also contains hyaluronic acid.

Panthenol and ectoin appear in several skin products. The other ingredients in each product differ, so one shared ingredient does not make the products interchangeable.
Ask your treating clinician about sensitive skin and where a product can be used, especially near dressings or incisions.
